Selena Ramkeesoon earned her Doctor of Management degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where she was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi. Dr. Ramkeesoon is the Chief Communications Officer at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is the Founder of DualStar LLC, a consulting firm working with organizations on communication and innovation design thinking. Before becoming an entrepreneur, she was Vice President and Corporate Officer at global consulting firms, leading multimillion-dollar portfolios.
Dr. Ramkeesoon is an Adjunct Professor with the MBA programs at the Kogod School of Business at American University and the University of Maryland Global Campus. Her research lies at the intersection of communication, globalization, and workplace culture. She is a frequent guest speaker on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Georgetown University.
Dr. Ramkeesoon serves on research review panels for the National Academy of Medicine. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America DEI Committee, and the Immediate Past President of the Washington, DC chapter of the Ellevate Network, a global organization that is the largest community of women+ at work.
